Ken Morley “Covonia”
Ken joins us again this year to play one of the “Uglies”
Ken is famous for the character of Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street, but he has played numerous other roles both on stage and screen.
He has starred on stage in productions including: Volpone (Birmingham Rep); The Beaux’ Stratagem (CTC); Insignificance (Oxford); Comic Cuts (Southampton); Ragged Trousered Philanthropists (Half Moon); Dracula (Croydon Warehouse); Habeas Corpus (Sheffield); The Tax Exile (Bush); Pinocchio (Theatre Royal Stratford East); The Adventures of Mr Toad (Bristol); Stanley Briggs in Business Affairs, Rocky Horror Show (UK tour). Ken starred together with Gordon Kaye and Dora Bryan in Paul Elliott’s hilarious comedy There’s No Place Like a Home, an outstanding play which ran on tour for two years. Ken also played the Baron in the eight week, sold out production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford.
Ken is a regular in panto, and his credits include amongst others, starring with Darren Day in Goldilocks (Forum Theatre, Billingham); with Anne Diamond in Snow White (Regent, Stoke on Trent); Sleeping Beauty (Sunderland Empire); Jack and the Beanstalk (Alhambra, Bradford); Peter Pan (Crewe); Cinderella (Orchard Theatre, Dartford); Aladdin (Royal Court, Liverpool) and Jack And The Beanstalk ( Reading Hexagon.)
